In 2016, the oil life on my vehicle was at 40% and the oil light came on indicating that the oil levels werelow. I contacted American Honda -Acura Division and I was assigned case # 04925899. I explained whathad happen with the vehicle and I was told to take it to an Acura dealer to have an oil consumption testdone. The Oil consumption test was done at First Acura and they stated that the oil consumptions werenormal. It was hard to believe because the oil life was at 40% and I had a warning light that the oil levelswere low. I continue to monitored this issue and the vehicle is consuming oil for the fact that I have toadd oil after every 2500 miles. In February 2019, I received a notification from Acura AutomobileDivision a “Warranty extension: Engine Oil Consumption Exceeds Client Expectations” Bulletin #19-006(this bulletin explains -to further ensure client satisfaction and confidence, any affected vehicles fromnow until September 1, 2019 will be covered regardless of time in service or mileage. (No indication onthe bulletin # 19-006 that service receipts would be required). On February 22, 2019 I took my vehicle toSpeedcraft Acura for another oil consumption test and I was told to bring the car back after the next1000 miles. On April 1, 2019 I returned to Speedcraft to have the oil levels checked and my vehicle wasconsuming oil. The oil levels were below the low mark and consuming an oil rate of one quart per 498miles. The service advisor named Angelo at Speedcraft Acura had faxed the oil consumption results tothe Acura Division for approval of repair and it was denied instantly due to the fact that they want oilchange receipts which the bulletin does not state that I need to provide. I feel that I am beingdiscriminated against because I don’t have the receipts.

Acura - 7 hour wait for a tire

I got a flat tire on highway. Had my car towed to nearest Acura dealer Had to rent a hotel. Next day i waited 7 hours for a tire. I will never buy another Acura. A dealer does not keep a tire for the most popular Acura in stock. You people should be ashamed.

Acura - Won't buy another Accura

Bought an MDX w 60k miles. Had problems with transmission. Turned out to be a known issue w torque converter immediately after purchase. Assume that's why previous owner dumped it. Dealer tried to charge me $600 for software update, but eventually did it for free. Next problem extreme oil consumption. Again, known issue by Accura. I have to go through a hassle to prove it consumes oil at an extreme enough rate for them to do the right thing. Went to different dealership. They lost my appointment. On the phone said they would give me a loaner, then refused when I came in for service, and described a process different than what was described in the warranty extension notice. I have no faith in this vehicle, Accura, or their dealerships.

Acura in Scarsdale, New York - Unreliable!

I recently purchased an RDX 2019. It’s been in and out of the dealership for over 3 months that I’ve had it and now the car has been in the shop for over and month so I’m practically paying for a car I’m not using. I contacted client relations and they refuse to help. It is obviously a lemon car and they’re trying to sweep it under the rug. They said under warranty they must fix it but they have already inconvenienced me multiple times much more now that it’s been in the shop for over a month. I will never get an Acura again.
